Scooooooooters!!

There are some things that represent certain places. To me, scooters represent Brooklyn.

In the past Brooklyn kids strapped milk or orange crates to skate wheels and made their own scooters. These DIY scooters would definitely not pass the safety standards of today. But, kids today don't have to fret. They can buy mini scooters (in fun colors)!

We love these Mini Kickboards. And we ordered them in aqua and orange - an unconscious homage to the milk and orange crates of the past??

  1. I was born in 1954 in the Bronx and lived there until 1962 and always wanted a milk/orange crate scooter, but girls weren't allowed! We haven't made as much progress as I'd hoped, but at least girls (as far as I know) are allowed on skateboards! Thanks for the great pic!
